A returning customer should not need to contact support just to understand a reward balance. Where did it come from, what can it be used for and how do you redeem it? Those are also the questions a shopper may ask through Algoshop AI Sales Chatbot. A clear loyalty wallet makes the answer visible at the moment the customer wants to shop again.
Webplanex combines loyalty rewards with a customer wallet for viewing transactions, tracking points and redeeming benefits. This article focuses on the customer's balance journey: how value is earned, what the displayed balance means and what using it actually does.
A wallet is an interface, not automatically cash
A loyalty wallet can present points, store credit, transaction history and redemption actions. Those are not necessarily the same kind of value.
Points are a program unit whose meaning depends on a redemption rule. Store credit expresses value under the store's configured terms. A coupon gives a particular discount. Showing any of them inside a wallet does not make them withdrawable cash or a general payment account.
A customer should see the unit beside the number. “150 points” is clearer than “Balance: 150” if the value is not 150 currency units. If points convert into a reward, explain that conversion separately.
The Webplanex listing describes points, referrals, VIP programs, store credit and POS rewards. It specifically presents the wallet as a place for loyalty points, transactions, tracking and redemption. Keep those distinctions visible throughout the experience.
What Webplanex brings to the balance journey
The listing also identifies customer notifications by email, WhatsApp and push; theme widgets and offers across shopping pages; and analytics including average order value, repeat purchase rate, points redeemed and net cost.
These capabilities matter at different moments:
- A customer qualifies for a reward under a configured campaign.
- A notification explains what was earned.
- The wallet shows the relevant balance or transaction.
- The customer follows the supported redemption path.
- The team evaluates redemption and cost.
This is a recommended journey, not a guarantee that every reward type uses the same mechanism or is available in every plan. Confirm the current configuration for the particular campaign.
Webplanex's customer rewards and wallet guide explains that installing the app is not the same as making its storefront widget visible: the merchant needs to enable the app embed in the theme editor. It also covers matching widget colors and labels to the store. Check the actual mobile placement after enabling it, particularly near product images and the add-to-cart button. A reward is more useful when customers can find it without it interrupting the purchase.

Offer pages and widgets introduce available rewards to shoppers.
A merchant selling replenishment products might use the wallet to make an existing reward visible when the customer returns. The interface is useful only if the reward is understandable and eligible for the purchase the customer wants to make.
Webplanex's broader feature set lets a merchant think beyond a single purchase-points campaign. Referrals reward a different behavior from repeat purchasing; VIP programs recognize an ongoing relationship; POS rewards bring an in-person context into the program. The listing describes these capabilities, but the customer should still see a coherent offer rather than a collection of unrelated promotions.
Swipe horizontally to read the full table.
| Customer moment | Useful presentation | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| First qualifying purchase | Explain the reward earned and where to find it | Introduces a reason to return without requiring guesswork |
| Returning to browse | Show relevant offers and a clearly labeled balance | Connects an existing benefit with the purchase under consideration |
| Choosing to redeem | Keep the action and eligibility together | Prevents a reward from appearing usable when it is not |
| Looking back after purchase | Show the related transaction and remaining value | Makes the balance explainable without contacting support |
The theme widgets and notifications serve these moments, rather than simply adding more messages. For example, a returning refill customer may benefit from seeing available credit near the basket; someone checking a reward email needs a direct route back to the wallet. Choose placement based on the customer's task and the supported theme/checkout setup.
If the business sells both online and in person, demonstrate the POS earning and redemption path separately before advertising one seamless experience. Staff need to know which customer account is used and what the customer will see afterward. The same principle applies to notifications: choose a supported channel and permissioned audience, then keep its wording consistent with the wallet's unit and campaign terms.
Read a complete balance example

Customers can view their wallet balance and transaction history.
The official redemption guide gives a concrete points-wallet route. A signed-in customer checks the reward balance, chooses an amount and generates a discount voucher. On the documented Shopify Basic route, the customer applies that code at checkout. That is more specific than saying that a wallet always behaves like a payment account.
The documented points-redemption journey
Sign in and check rewards
The customer opens the wallet and sees the available rewards balance. Keep the unit and reward terms clear.
Choose the amount to redeem
The customer selects an amount and generates the discount voucher, subject to the configured rules.
Apply the voucher to the purchase
The customer uses the generated code at checkout. Direct checkout redemption follows a separate Shopify Plus extension setup.
For the direct checkout experience, the checkout-extension documentation requires Shopify Plus and customer login for redemption. It describes separate blocks for displaying potential earnings and generating/redeeming a wallet coupon. The current App Store listing places checkout redemption in Advanced. Check both the app plan and Shopify eligibility before presenting that route to customers.
To investigate what happened afterward, the customer-transactions guide directs administrators to Customers → Customers Transactions. It describes filtering by date or offer and searching by order number, customer name or email, with CSV export. The listed transaction details include earned and redeemed points, the related order, coupon and offer. This connects a balance question to the purchase or reward behind it instead of leaving support with an unexplained total.
Explain eligibility before redemption
Customers need to know whether a benefit applies to the purchase in front of them. A long terms page cannot compensate for a wallet that appears to promise unrestricted use.
Write the campaign rules around concrete questions:
- Which activity earns the reward?
- When does it become available?
- Which purchases can use it?
- What happens to unused value?
- Where can the customer see the transaction?
These are policy questions to answer using the supported campaign configuration. Minimum order amounts, expiry and discount combinations should not be invented from the general term “wallet.”
The Point Redemption Rule guide documents two options under Settings: fixed points for a specified discount, or a proportional discount with a chosen ratio and redemption limits. Select the rule that fits your reward and explain it beside the balance. A fixed reward can provide a clear target; a proportional rule needs an equally clear explanation of how points translate into a discount. The values should come from your configured program, not from a supposed universal default.
If one campaign uses points and another store credit, give each a recognizable label. Avoid merging them into a single unlabeled total unless the actual system defines and explains such a total.
On mobile, check whether the redemption action and eligibility message remain visible together. A prominent redeem button with distant exclusions can create avoidable disappointment.
Make notifications and support messages agree
Webplanex's notifications are useful when they send the customer back to a clear reward experience. The message should say what was earned, why and how to use it under the applicable terms.

Reward notifications keep customers informed about their loyalty benefits.
Write notifications from the actual transaction: name the reward earned, explain where to find it and link to the supported redemption route. Support replies should connect the customer's balance to the relevant order or offer. Do not describe points as cash, or describe a generated voucher as already used before checking the transaction.
Availability differs by app plan. The current listing includes email notifications in Startup, push notifications in Medium and WhatsApp notifications in Advanced. Choose the supported channel for the configured program and customer permissions rather than assuming every installation provides every notification option.
Refund questions deserve a specific investigation. Check the original order, reward transaction and configured reversal behavior before promising that a balance will return automatically. This article does not infer automatic refund-to-wallet functionality.
Give support a short evidence checklist: customer account, transaction date, earning campaign, redemption action and related order. Those details make balance disputes easier to resolve than screenshots of a number alone.
Review wallet use and reward cost
A visible wallet is not evidence of a successful program. Review whether customers understand the balance, reach an eligible redemption and use the reward without support intervention.
Interpret points redeemed and net cost with a consistent period and campaign scope. A high redemption rate may be welcome, but the store still needs to understand the cost of benefits and the margin of associated purchases.
Compare the workflow with Mage's reward-rule design. Mage's article centers on choosing and costing a program; this one centers on making its value and transactions understandable.
